Michael is a musician and guitarist who has been playing for over 40 years.  He teaches all levels and most styles of acoustic, electric & classical guitar as well as beginner piano.  He has degrees in classical guitar performance from the University of Georgia and the University of Minnesota. Along with his classical guitar background he has an extensive knowledge of music theory and always incorporates this into his lessons in appropriate amounts.  Michael personalizes lessons for each student, taking into account their level of experience and musical tastes, encouraging students to bring in songs they would like to learn.  Michael has played in traveling bands and has interests in many genres and styles of music.  He has three children of his own so he is no stranger to children or adult students!
